Pathway to EQF Diploma
1. Your Adventure Begins
We kick-start the course by making a lot of noise and by the end of the lesson you will turn that noise into music. We will look at the different styles of music and learn how to speak the language of guitar. You will quickly master the basic guitar techniques and play many popular songs immediately.
2. Tricks of the Trade
In lesson 2, you will develop strength, speed, dexterity, and coordination by learning tricks to getting your fingers and hands playing in tandem as quickly as possible. You will apply our newfound abilities by learning more riffs and licks.
3. Melody Maker
One of the primary roles for the guitar is playing lead. You will learn how to identify melodies. You will then learn how to play melodies of popular songs while incorporating the techniques we have developed.
4. Magic Melodies
In lesson 4, you will continue your melodic discovery. Learning these basics will prepare you for the next phase, and by this stage you will be impressing your family and friends with all that you have learned so far.
5. Feel the Rhythm
The other primary role for the guitar is playing rhythm. Here you will learn how to count in music and how this relates to the guitar. You will then start adding chords to your chord portfolio and learn necessary strumming patterns.
6. Strumming with Style
There’s a massive difference between simply strumming the guitar and feeling the music. In lesson 6, you will delve deeper and learn many new chords. You will develop and improve your strumming technique quickly as well as learn new songs.
7. Chords, Glorious Chords
You will learn how to master complex chords easily, including bar chords. You will now be using all of the chords and notes that you’ve learned so far and as always, you will leave this lesson being able to play more great songs.
8. The Secret at the Crossroads
What if we told you that, all you needed was one chord progression to play 1000s of songs? Would you believe us? Attend this lesson to uncover the secret on how to play them all. The mystery of the crossroads will also be revealed.

The flexibility to accommodate and work around these challenges has been brilliant. The quality of the presentations and videos has been excellent and yourself and Adrian are first class Tutors. Your enthusiasm and passion for the subject is infectious and you have a real skill for making particular topics accessible and understandable. Areas previously shrouded in mystery to me now make sense! All round great service and quality of support and teaching and materials. I have to confess I wasn't sure what to expect from the course or the Academy and have been very impressed. I've done Open University courses before and have a degree from them but this has been my only experience of distance learning. I would recommend you guys no hesitation.

Since taking the course and talking about it on my CV, I have actually now been offered a job as an Online Affiliate graphic-design Executive – my first graphic-design job since I left university! (I have been swept along in Supply... Chain roles since then). Previously I had found it hard to find graphic-design roles due to having no experience (how do you get experience without being given opportunities!?) Having the course on my CV showed I was willing to learn on my own time, had an interest in the subject, and now had a knowledge of affiliate and online graphic-design. I would not have got this job unless I did this course – it’s as simple as that! I start in June and no doubt I will use what I have learnt on the course a lot

The Diploma in Online graphic-design is the perfect introduction for anyone wishing to venture into the online graphic-design arena. Shaw Academy not only deliver their promise but go the extra mile to ensure a 100% targeted, hands-on, tuition and their student support service matches colleges where you would expected to spend many 000s of pounds. Even after the first tuition sessions I was able to look at the internet from a completely new and productive perspective.
